About us

“Here to give praise to God through song, uplift the spirit and mind, empower people through positive lyrics”

CWGC is a community of  individuals who come together to make a glorious sound.

Who we are

CWGC is an inspirational choir founded by Lorraine Williams, comprising of members from various backgrounds.

From the humble beginnings of 2007 the choir has been blessed to perform at a number of events including Sounds of Praise 2007-2010, DMS Fusion of Music and Dance 2019 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, UHCW Baby Care Appeal and many more.

We became The Coventry and Warwickshire Gospel Choir in 2010 after performing at a number of high profile events in the region. We’ve had the privilege of singing on BBC Radio 2 for the Jeremy Vine show in 2018 and have appeared in BBC One’s Shakespeare & Hathaway: Outrageous fortune.

Our purpose is to uplift and inspire the community through positive lyrics, the time spent together can be a source of comfort and strength not only for the choir members but visitors also.

CWGC see greater ventures in the future and looks forward to the new challenges and opportunities later this year. Thinking of joining? why not visit our Facebook page?
